Description
All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven ‘purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning. This course will help build parenting skills and give you the confidence to support your children's learning. This self-paced online course will help you to understand the key principles of safeguarding and how to support the safety and wellbeing of your family. This course is for parents/carers of Elective Home Educated (EHE) young people attending our 14-19 programmes, this course will give you the confidence to recognise potential concerns, understand your role in safeguarding, and know what to do if you need support. By the end of the course, you'll feel more informed, confident, and empowered to play an active role in keeping your family safe.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you are a parent or carer of one of our 14-19 learners. Our courses are for people who live in the EMCCA region aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a self-paced online course.
What will I need?
You will need a device that can connect to the internet. You may want to have something to make notes.
Are there any other costs?
This course is free and there are no other costs.

You can do this course online at a time and pace to suit you. It is on a website called Nearpod. We will send you an email at least 24 hours before your course is due to start with instructions for how to join.
