Description
This course is for Derbyshire residents aged 19 and over who want to build their confidence in readiness for starting work or returning to work.
The course covers planning for work, coping with change, settling into a new job, understanding employment contracts and wage slips, and handling changes in your budget. To book onto this course, you will need to obtain a PIN from your Work Coach at Long Eaton or Ilkeston Jobcentre Plus.
Who is this course for?
This course is for Derbyshire residents aged 19 and over who want to build their confidence in advance of starting work or returning to work. You will be able to identify your strengths and skills. There will be tips to help you cope with the changes a new job brings and still find time for yourself. You will get information to help you understand your pay slips and budgeting advice.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be opportunities to have discussions combined with practical activities for you to complete with guidance from your tutor. Your tutor will give you support and feedback, so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
You will need to bring something to make notes on. Handouts will be provided for some of the sessions. You will need to provide your own refreshments if required. There will be a short break for lunch.
