All of our Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven ‘purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning. Pathways to employment is a friendly, practical series of workshops designed to help you build confidence, develop job?seeking skills, and take positive steps to securing meaningful work. 'CVs and applications that stand out' is a hands?on session where you can build or update your CV. We cover strong personal statements, phrasing achievements, meeting the person specification, and creating confident, clear job applications.

Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you are unemployed, returning to work, or unsure where to start with job searching. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.

How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities, individual work and group work. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.

What will I need?
Please bring your CV and/or a list of your work history if you have them. Do not worry if you do not. You may want to bring something to make notes.

Are there any other costs?
This course is free and there are no other costs.
