Description
All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven ‘purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning.
This free, fun and friendly course helps you to take care of your mental health and wellbeing whilst also learning to play guitar. It's great for beginners or anyone picking up the guitar again after a break.
You'll learn at your own pace, with easy weekly lessons and simple, mindful exercises. As you play, you'll feel more focused, less stressed, and more confident both in everyday life and in music .
There's no pressure and no need to be perfect. Just enjoy the music and feel better, one note at a time.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you would like to improve and maintain your mental wellbeing. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities, individual work and group work. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
Guitars will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you have one. You may want to bring something to make notes.

This course is free and there are no other costs.
