All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven ‘purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning.

This course will help you to maintain your mental health and wellbeing.

Join us for our Boost your wellbeing through photography taster You will use your camera or phone to take better photos, trust your creative eye, and feel more comfortable expressing yourself through images. We'll cover the basics of light, composition, and storytelling in a relaxed and supportive way no experience needed. The goal isn't perfection, it's about enjoying the process, seeing progress, and gaining confidence in your own unique style.

Whether you're new to photography or just want to feel more confident, this course will help you grow. Join us for this friendly course and discover how photography can boost your wellbeing.

Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you are a beginner or if you have done some photography before and would like to boost your mental wellbeing. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.

How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities and individual work. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.

What will I need?
You should bring a camera or a phone with camera capability to take this course. You may want to bring something to make notes.

Are there any other costs?

This course is free and there are no other costs.
