Description
Shop, cook, share is a practical cooking course. Develop skills for independent living. Learn about healthy food choices, budgeting and shopping. Enjoy sharing a meal and making friends.
Who is this course for?
This course is for adults with learning disabilities who want to gain confidence in shopping, cooking and eating healthily. You will shop to choose ingredients, learn how to prepare a simple and nutritious meal, and enjoy what you have made together.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. You will shop to choose ingredients and learn how to plan balanced meals. Step by step guidance to prepare simple healthy dishes. You will work with others to cook and share meals together. Learn tips on making healthier food choices and building confidence in the kitchen. Your tutor will give you support and feedback, so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
You may want to bring your own apron to wear when cooking. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting messy.
