Description
All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven ‘purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning.
This course will help build parenting skills and give you the confidence to support your children's learning.
This short course is for parents/carers of neurodiverse children and will cover ways to get support for your child. You will learn about your rights and entitlements, where to go and who to approach for support and how to best communicate the needs of you and your child.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you are a parent or carer of a neurodiverse child or you suspect your child may be neurodiverse. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is an online course. There will be activities and discussions with guidance from your tutor. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities, individual work and group work. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
You may want to bring something to make notes. You will need a device to access Teams via the internet.
Are there any other costs?
This course is free and there are no other costs.
You will access this course through Microsoft Teams. You will be part of a live class, with a tutor, but with everyone doing the lessons from their own home.
We will send you an email at least 24 hours before your course is due to start with instructions for how to join.
